Night fishing, night scenes, wildlife at night, nightskys. I love the nightsky, always have. I have two telescopes
and have read every book I could get my hands on about the universe. I have spent hundreds on nights out fishing for Catfish, then Bass and I have spent many a night
Walleye fishing at Lake Erie. Lake Erie was a real challenge, I wish I was still going every year because I was just beginning to figure out the night fishing there.
There is a dock at Lake Erie where one can catch big Walleyes at night and that is where some of my ideas come from. Other pictures could be the Mississippi River, or a lake or of the night sky.
Landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and more. These are pictures with fish
too but the fish are smaller so its seems better to call them general fishing art because the fish really don't dominate the picture. These are mostly secenes I just made up
that were in the back of my mind, or they just came from playing around in photoshop and some are from scenes I have seen or the idea came from one of my videos or photos.
The scenes may resemble Lake Erie, The Mississippi River, The Rock River, the Midwest with sunrises and sunsets.
Peacock Bass in bright colored scenes. I went to Venezuala once for a ten day fishing trip and I think it is a dream land
full of interesting fish and animals. There is five different kinds of Peacock Bass and some get up to the 30 pound range and boy do they put up a fight. They will tear your lures and equipment up in a hurry.
They like fast aggressive lures and like Smallmouth Bass they never quit fighting. While fishing for them you get Piranha biting your lures in half and you might catch
a Piara which has huge fangs and a glue like slime that sticks to your hands. Everything has teeth and wants to eat you and the heat is unbearable but what a magical place
the Peacock Bass live in.
Art scenes Crappie, Bluegill, White Bass, Rock Bass Perch and small fish found in the midwest.
I try to show what it might look like under water where Crappie and other fish hang out. These pictures are made in photoshop, painted with my mouse. The fish are
sometimes photos of fish that I take while out fishing. Like this Crappie, it was a fish my daughters boyfriend caught and put on a stringer. I took a few photos
and then the fish mysteriously got away somehow. I told him not to worry about it, that he would being seeing this big Crappie again and he later got a mug with the
fish on it. Crappie is also one of the best tasting freshwater fish. They usually run in schools, so if you catch one there is likely more in the area. This goes for all panfish,
they like to run in schools. Walleye like trees and brush, bluegill like weeds, brush and wingdams, White Bass like current, pearch like weeds.

Largemouth Bass in many pictures jumping and swimming. I used to fish for bass everyday and I fished many tournaments throughout the midwest.
We have quite a few Bass on the rivers where I fish and so of course I had to make a lot of Bass art pictures. Most of these are photos of Bass edited and placed in art pictures
I painted in photoshop. Bass are the most exciting fish, they have a mouth so big they are called largemouth and they will eat about anything they can fit in their mouth. They like
to jump and chase other fish as well as ambush. Bass like to live in shallow water around brush and weeds. They hold Bass tournaments throughout the united states because they are such
a popular fish to catch and they will eat lures so no live bait is needed. Some of my best fishing art is with largemouth Bass, also called Black Bass. Bass can change colors,
they can turn to a dark blackish color when shallow soaking up sun.
Walleyes in various under water scenes. Walleyes are an elusive fish that can be found anywhere from a few inches of water down to
hundreds of feet. I have always fished for Walleyes in the cold months but for the last ten years or so they have become my main fish to fish for. I love the
challenge they present to fisherman. They will bite good sometimes eating anything that comes within in a few feet of them and other times you can tickle their nose
and they won't bite. Like Bass, if a lure passes in front of their face they may take it in by reaction and not even think about it. Thats why, contrary to belief,
trolling a lure fast can trigger bites when the fishing is slow. Its hard to picture what a wingdam might look like under water and they are a magnet for Walleye and other
fish so I try to show some under water scenes of wingdams and rocky areas for the Walleye art. I have many Walleye photos, more than any other fish so I have some I haven't
even used yet.
Channelcat & Flathead Catfish in art scenes. Catfish are a hardy fish that can stand
some pretty harsh condition. They like deep and shallow water, lots of current, big baits, sometimes gross baits and they can be found about everywhere on the planet.
They are probably the most popular fish. I think about everyone would like to catch a giant catfish, I know I do. I fish for Catfish sometimes and i catch a lot while Walleye fishing.
I took a lot of photos of one little flathead I caught and it was the cutest little fish. You can see him in a lot of my art pictures.
Acrylic paintings of Landscapes and Wildlife. I have painted a couple hundred pictures probably, many I don't remember where they went.
I do like painting and I have a couple I'm working on now but I like painting with my mouse much better. I just wish I had more time for art but I am so busy working on this site and my two
fishing T-shirt stores and designs that just leave me enough time. I like working with acrylics but I have used water color and oils. Most of my paintings
are fishing related but I do like to do nature scenes.

photos are reworked, sometimes completely rebuilt in photoshop, and the original backgrounds are removed.
