Bad Stack of DVDs?
Posted on June 28th, 2010 CommentIt looks like I bought a 100 stack of Memorex DVDs from Staples and they are almost all bad. I thought my burners were getting wore out so I replaced both of them. I also bought a DVD duplicator because I burn too many copies of my DVDs that I sell. Well the duplicator started getting failed burns from the second disc on. So right now it looks like the whole stack is bad. These are Memorex DVD-. I have heard a lot of people having trouble with the – so I don’t know why they even make them. I have also had trouble with verbatin stacks being mostly all bad.
I am having problems on my other computer too but this has been going on for some time. I think it’s my motherboard. It slowly went bad and got so bad it would no longer detect a disc put in. So I replaced both drives and now it reboots the computer when I insert a disc. I got a fix from ms but all that did was make the pc go black when a disc is inserted. For that computer I am buying a IDE to USB converter, so hopefully I can turn these drives into external drives and still use them.

Google Earth Out of Focus
Posted on June 26th, 2010 CommentGoogle Earth Out of Focus, it’s been that way for a year or two. It just stopped working correctly and I couldn’t find any fix anywhere. I decided to take up the search again but again I found no answer. Just for the heck of it I started un-checking everything that was checked in the left column, favorite spots etc and one of these checked boxes is what the problem was! I think it was a google tour but I’m not sure, I unchecked them all, but right away after one un-check I noticed the earth started to come in focus again. I sure am glad to get google earth back on this computer. I still had it on my other computers but this is my main pc for getting online and doing work.
