I am getting spa, all the sudden and harassing phone calls which are automated, prompt me to press buttons and they call continuously throughout the day, seven days a week. So I think about what has changed lately, who put me on these spam lists and three things have happened.
First I got a free pair of max sunglasses to test out. Before I could even test them out I was getting phone calls from him. He got my email and phone number off my website. This is the most likely but I also got a couple rebates lately that could also be the ones behind it.
I got a rebate from farm & fleet, the most unlikely to surrender my personal info to spammers, but they aren’t the ones that give the actual rebates, they hand this over to a private company that makes money in other ways, like selling your personal information. I have gotten rebates before and not had any trouble, but it is possibly the rebates that started it all.
The last rebate I got was from berkley, and it was like the day after I got my check that I started getting spam. It looks like they are responsible but I can’t be sure. I am sure something happened lately and it is one of the above. I think I gave the rebates my other email address so more than likely it was that max sunglasses salesman that goes around looking for email and phone numbers on business websites.
