Walleye Mississippi River 3/8/12

Fishing has been tough, hardly any boats out there. I only caught 3 today but they were decent fish. I wasn’t going for numbers, looking for spread out big ones.

Edit – while everyone is down river river hitting my old hotspots I had kept secret for decades (some local bought my dvds and blabbed to everyone), I had the dam area to myself and caught three big fish and figured I better get out of there before the followers saw me. Looks like I will have the dam area to myself until the idiots figure it out. The dam area is and always has been the best spot to fish in the spring but a lot of it doesn’t get hit because everyone follows each other without scouting around on their own. There are other spots down river near where they are fishing that no one, not one boat, has bothered to venture out and try. I can’t believe people think one small area holds all the fish and the rest doesn’t. That’s just dumb.
