This is what Bass fishing is all about. Some people like to think it’s at the top of the ladder when it comes to fishing but that simply isn’t so. Bass are easy to find and easy to catch. The structure is visible and they will eat about anything. Guys cast and flip all day, then when they hook a fish it is all over in a second or few. Like this image above shows, Harry flips in a artificial craw, stares at his line to detect a hit, then slams the hook ripping the fish out of the water and into the boat. The fight, if that’s what you call it, lasts a split second. If it’s a small fish, he gets his mouth ripped apart and goes flying out of the water and into a tree or a hard boat floor. If they don’t have enough confidence to go looking to find their own fish, they just follow all the hundreds of other bass boats that hammer every pool and have tournaments every weekend, both days and sometimes during the week. Some of the fish I catch look like they have been through a war zone.
