About My Photos

I am back to putting my photos on my website. I just can’t find a good way to share them without losing quality. In this blog I am restrited to 600 pixels wide, which would be ok if I could link to full size but I can’t, not easily anyway. I can post them at 300 px and then link to full size (1000 px) but that just doesn’t please me, too much trouble to view.

On my website I am struggling, as always. I have tried so many ways but end up changing them later. My last idea was to disply them at 300 px linked to full size, and also including a full size page with lots all on one page, but now I am having second thoughts, too much work. My slidshows that I was using for a few tyears were losing so much quality the images looked bad so that had to go. The 600 px just isn’t large enough. So I am going back to just posting recent photos and this time I will just put full web size all on one page.

What I treally need to do is buy a website that specializes in photo galleries, but these are expensive and I don’t make enough on my photos to be worth the expense. So until then, they are back on my website. Here is the latest for May:

About Dave Tackett

Dave Tackett is from Sterling Illinois. An avid fisherman since childhood, he has fished all over the Midwest, mainly the Mississippi River pools 8-19. His home waters are pools 13 & 14. After fishing Bass tournaments for many years, he gave it up to fish for Walleye year round. He now guides and fishes for fun. He likes to take photos of the scenic places he visits on the river and likes to keep a video camera running to get footage for his Walleye DVDs. Photography is now where he most of his time working, using professional DSLR cameras and lens. These photos include landscape around the Mississippi River and the Rock River, river birds like eagles heron, egrets etc.
