There’s nothing easy about it, the T-shirt business I am trying to tap into. I just bought about 100 T-shirts, all white and in 4 sizes. Never mind the colored shirts, the women’s, the tank tops etc. for now, it’s too much to even think about. Now I have hundreds of pictures to put on shirts, but only 100 shirts and I only have 50 of the large size transfer papers which are 17×20, could be cut in half but then that’s another complex problem, what to do for sizes of prints. I can’t possibly put each picture on each size ahead of time. Then should i put them on front or back? Anyway moving forward, heat press is a waiting.
Meanwhile cafe press and zazzle are selling an occasional shirt, they make over $20 and I make less than $2. That is why I want to cut out the middle man.
I tried selling shirts years ago in ebay but quit when people started complaining about cat hairs on the shirts. We still have the cats and a dog too, and there will be hairs on shirts but I have come a long ways in making designs and it is the direction I have always been going with my graphics and photography. I have invested a lot of money in equipment and put years into learning. I do have an advantage over others with my fish photos and need to put it to use.
So I am going ahead as planned with my new large high quality printer, my heat press and all my new photos in which new ones are still being created. I will be opening a new ebay store soon and hope to be able to turn a profit.
