Skeg Guard Protector Review

Skeg Guard Protector Review: DON’T BUY ONE!

Half my skeg broke off and it was ok like that but thought I could use some added protection so I bought an expensive skeg protector. It worked fine until it touch a piece of wood, which put a slight bend in my aluminum prop, and then it tore my skeg completely off! The holes you drill become weak points and that’s where it will break the first time it touches anything. It’s like a glass cutter, it will break at the weakest point and the holes are drilled at the very top. Now I am out $80 for the skeg guard and have no skeg on my motor what so ever.
