Well they want $7 now for those expensive downrigger clips that walleye fisherman use. I use them on my planer boards. I gave it some thought after seeing that new price and I think I have an idea for a strong clip that would work with planer boards. http://www.fisheadtackle.com/clips.html

I costs about a dollar maybe. It seems to work pretty good. I think it is every bit as strong as those expensive clips. It might have a little more water resistance, but it might put out a fish attracting sound too. Fish are attracted to sound sounds in the water, like a bowed line seems to attract fish for some reason.
