One day I was fishing up on pool 9 near Desoto in the Fall. I We took a break from the Walleye and pitched a few worms in some long jams in a cut and I had a hit and set the hook and my worm came off. I told my partner I would pick the worm up back home on pool 14. About two days later I was fishing a wingdam and guess what came floating along side the boat? Yep, that rubber worm and I picked it up.
One day I was fishing Running Slough on pool 13 and I made a long cast down stream to try to get a backlash out. After pulling out a bunch of line I finally got it out and reeled my line back in and when I got to the lure it felt like a fish was on, and there was a fish on, a 5 pound Northern Pike and the funny thing was the fish had been dead for about a week or so. It was rotting and my spinnerbait went into its mouth and snagged in its belly. It was gross but I did get my lure back.
