Fishing Bass Tournaments
My buddy Gary, what an unbelievable day, we caught so many Bass on this spot we couldn't count and we
sorted by looking at them rather than by scale, I pulled in fish faster than he could sort. We won the tourney
by a landslide. Other boats following just watched in amazement. I fished this spot earlier that week, saw
minnows near this point which was a sand bar drop off and I hooked a sunken tree up with a rope and dragged
it to this point and that’s all it took, the fish really loaded up on it, big time.
Just a few snapshots of favorite fishing spots. I fished the river from Lacross down to Keocock and I know about
every spot there is as I cover the water good, my only help was a river map. I probably worked harder than some
groups of fisherman combined.
This spot I caught hundreds of bass in two days. It was easter and a little too warm for Walleye I
loaded the boat and went to the next landing to go Bass fishing. This area is usually not fishable but the
water was at the right level, deep enough to fish but not over the banks yet. That was the only year I caught
fish there in that exact spot, the water was always to low or too high.
A nice stringer of fish I held in my livewell to get this photo, I then released them all. Stringers like this
are common on the river in the spring, summer and fall.
