Lake Erie Big Walleye
The first few days I fished alone and after the third day I started catching big fish, one over ten pounds shown in the video of me holding the fish
while at the resort (above). That was the morning our friends arrived and my buddy was mad that I wasn't at the cabin waiting for him, but I didn't know what
time they were to arrive and I don't like sitting around not fishing. I did come back and pick him up at 9 am. I told him we had all week, there will
be plenty of time to fish so be patient. After fishing all day, and him drinking beer and staying up late, the next morning he didn't want to get up so
I headed out by myself even though it was again very windy. The guy in the next cabin over was tempted to go with me after seeing the big fish I was
catching, but declined my offer. I headed out toward Rattlesnake Island which was into the wind and figured I would let the wind blow me over to North
Bass area, that way I wouldn't have to fight a cross wind with waves beating me up. By the time I reached North Bass I finally got my first bite, and it
was another ten pound Walleye! I dropped a crankbait in and added a clip-on sinker and the fish hit the bait right away. I took the fish back to the
cabin to show it off and my partner and the neighbor were so excited they quick ran to get their poles and head out. The neighbor followed me for the
rest of the week. My partner got sea sick and I had to take him back early. We then caught a lot of fish every day after that, as can be seen in
video below, and it shows that neighbor.
