I returned one week later with a friend. The fishing wasn't as good, the Bass went into spawn and the only thing biting were Walleye and Perch. My patterns just completely died and so I kept trying new things and finally came up with a great pattern by fishing points and the fish were shallow, about 15-5 feet using clip-on sinkers and crankbaits.

The first trip I had trouble with cottonwood trees and my clip-on sinkers saved me because they catch the cotton before it reaches my crankbaits. This second trip it was scum floating on top of the water and congregating around points where the wind would push it, which was the same places places where the fish lay.
