Lake Erie 2004 1

I was impressed at how hansom this Heron was, I have never seen one so close, or I just never paid attention, there is something about age that slows you down and one starts to notice things that were always unimportant when we were younger. I kept staring at this bird as I passed and it stared back, then I rounded the corner in the lagoon and took one last look back and saw the bird walked a ways to get in a position to keep watching me head in. Then when I got back to the cabin I saw a Heron fly by and land near me and took more photos. Was this the same bird? Had I made a friend?

This darned duck jumped in my boat and tried to eat nightcrawlers off my hooks in the back of the boat. I had to remove and bait from my rods so it would swallow a hook and take off flying with all my rods in tow.
