Fixing a broken fishing rod

1. Find an old broken rod to cut the sleeve from

2. Cut out a section that will fit over the broken area. Cut extra long and slowly find the right 4 or 5 inches to use as a sleeve

3. Remove all the eyes

4. slide the tip end through the cut section, get this part of the rod to tightly fit in the sleeve leaving half the sleeve open

5. add the bottom part of the rod, it should meet the top section and be fairly snug. If everything measures ok, remove the sections from the sleeve and add eproxy

6. Re-attach the eyes.

Fixing a 2 piece fishing rod top half

1. In this case we will put the piece of rid on the inside, so no need to remove the eyes. Find an old broken rod to cut the sleeve from and carefully cut it to fit inside the top piece about 2".

2. Then cut the piece to 4" and slide through the bottom section

3. Add eproxy, then slide the tip end through the cut section, get this part of the rod to tightly fit in the sleeve leaving half the sleeve open. Twist into place so there isn't a gag between the original sections.

4. Now it shouldn't even show the piece added

Add a thred wrap to secure well
